British Open Champion Rodríguez Joins Eye Rackets

2018 British Open Champion Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, the highest ranked South American squash player in history and the only player from South America ever to win a major PSA World Series title, has signed a three-year agreement with Eye Rackets that will see him wear the brand’s eye-catching new competition clothing line and performance S-Line shoes.

Courtesy of a dynamic playing style that sees him defy gravity, logic and his opponents, the flamboyant 32-year-old Colombian Cannonball is one of the most popular players on the PSA World Tour circuit and has ranked as highly as World No.4, while in May this year he defied all expectations to reach the final of the prestigious British Open - the longest running tournament in squash - and claim the title with victory over World No.1 Mohamed Elshorbagy.

He becomes the second South American player to sign with Eye Rackets this summer, joining Peru’s Diego Elias, while he will wear the S-Line shoe range also worn by the likes of Paul Coll, Karim Abdel Gawad, Gregoire Marche and Mathieu Castagnet - some of the fastest moving players on the PSA World Tour.
